Technical structure
The objectives of fib are to develop at an international level the study of scientific and practical matters capable of advancing the technical, economic, aesthetic and environmental performance of concrete construction.

Under the authority of the Technical Council, 10 Commissions and 3 Special Activity Groups are responsible for specifically defined activities in the field of structural concrete. These committees are supported by Task Groups and or Working Parties.

To attain the objectives fib relies on the effective use of resources made available through the National Groups and other members, most importantly though the voluntary work of many individuals.
